The Maprom GS Seal was developed by Maprom Engineering in order to meet the increasing demand for an efficient, reliable and environmentally sound water lubricated propeller shaft seal for commercially operated vessels. The most important advantage of an axial seal is the absence of wear on the propeller shaft, its simplicity long lifetime and easy maintenance.

The tough and wear resistant NCB Nickel Chrome Boron coating results in a perfect bearing counter running surface. As the liner will stay in better shape the bearing surface also benefits. It is not unusual for NCB shaft sleeves to last significantly longer than conventional liners.
The Maprom MK Separator offers the solution to automatically discharge abrasive particles out of outboard water for optimal bearing lubrication. We can achieve a 98% particle removal of particular size and weight. No blocking filter inserts are required.
The Johnson® Demountable Keel cooler and Duracooler® are surface coolers. These coolers are mounted outside against the ships hull. Unlike bun coolers, they have the advantage to save expensive engine room space, while the upward pressure and stability of the ship remain completely unaffected.
Maprom specialises in the retrofit of Glacier type centrifuges to existing engines. Our oil cleaning solutions are designed to operate at higher oil pressures and thus removing larger quantities of non combustible material out of the lube oil. Cleaner oil reduces engine component wear and helps prevent full flow filters from blocking. It is not uncommon for our systems to operate for longer running hours with the same oil when engines are changed from MFO to HFO.
