Flexible space saver
Compared with bun systems, our keel coolers have the advantage of saving precious engine room space, perfect heat exchange due to free flowing (sea-)water around the coolers and the ability to adapt the hull shape . In addition, the demountable keel cooler has the advantage to ease maintenance works in case of desired cooler pipe(s) exchange for cleaning/replacing.
Space saving
The demountable cooler and Duracooler are surface coolers. These coolers are mounted outside. Unlike bun coolers, they have the advantage of not needing an expensive engine room, while the upward pressure and stability of the ship remain completely unaffected.
Construction
By using standard parts, Maprom Engineering is able to construct a cooling system for each and every application that meets the specific requirements of the designer and the user. The cooler is demountable, which makes it possible to replace parts. Using high-quality materials guarantees long service-life.
Advise
