Optimal Separation without "clogging filter"
The MK Separator shows the highest grade of separation in combination with a low-pressure loss. The smallest abrasive particles are removed effortlessly from the bearing lubricant flow by this separator. The operating principle of this separator is simple and based on centrifugal force. The unique shape of the inlet chamber brings the liquid in a fast rotational movement, resulting in a centrifugal force on the sand particles. This force directs the sand particles to the wall of the separator. The cleaned water is directed to the outlet. A small amount of water carries the separated particles directly overboard by means of a narrow 15mm pipeline.
Easy installation and maintenance free
The seawater resistant MK Separator has no moving parts subjected to wear or elements that must be periodically replaced. Different sizes of dirt particles are automatically and continuously discharged in one system, this means no different sizes of filters and no periodic replacement of filters or maintenance is required. The flow and pressure in the water system stays continuous, so there are no losses in the system as by other filter systems where the filters get clogged and what results in flow and pressure loss. The unique design of this separator, with a facing inlet- and outlet, can easily be installed also in an existing pipeline. T
he separator can be fitted into the pressure line, on each desirable place between the pump and the stern tube. The operational process of the separator can be checked by the pressure gauge on in- and outlet and the discharge overboard. The MK Separator, free of maintenance, can be installed in a simple way on new building vessels as well as on existing vessels, making a fine filter, with the risk of clogging, obsolete.
